  Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10 We live in a culture that glorifies busyness. Every day, we’re surrounded by noise — notifications, deadlines, responsibilities, and a constant need to “keep up.” Our minds rarely stop racing, and our hearts are often weary from trying to do and be everything at once. Yet in the midst of all this chaos, God’s voice cuts through the noise with a gentle whisper: “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) It sounds simple, but it’s not always easy. Stillness feels uncomfortable when we’re used to striving. Silence feels strange when we’ve learned to find worth in productivity. Yet, it is in this very stillness that transformation happens. When we pause and quiet our hearts, we create space for God to move. Stillness doesn’t mean passivity — it’s an act of faith. It’s choosing to rest while God works.
