Morning Prayer to Start Your Day with God

Image
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of a new day. As I rise, I invite You into every part of it—my thoughts, my words, my plans, and my heart. Go before me and make the crooked paths straight. Help me walk in step with Your will, not rushing ahead or falling behind. Fill me with Your peace that calms every anxious thought. Cover me with Your grace when I fall short. Remind me that I don’t face this day alone—You are with me, and that’s enough. Strengthen me, Lord, for whatever this day holds. Give me wisdom in my decisions, grace in my conversations, and patience in moments of frustration. Help me to reflect Your love in all I do. Let my life today be a light that points others to You, even in the small, unseen moments. Remind me that every step I take is ordered by You. Lord, use me today to reflect Your love and kindness to others. Let my actions bring You glory. Teach me to trust, to let go, and to rest in the truth that You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection on Job 8:7 — “Though your beginning was small, your future will be great!

Reflection on Job 8:7 — “Though your beginning was small, your future will be great! There is something powerful and comforting in these words from the book of Job. At face value, they are a simple encouragement. But when we look deeper—especially within the context of Job’s life—we see a truth that reaches into the very core of our human experience:  God sees beyond where we  are. He sees where we’re going. Job had lost nearly everything—his wealth,  his health, his family, his reputation. He was sitting in ashes, covered in sores, surrounded by friends who offered more judgment than comfort. And yet, in the midst of that desolation, comes this statement:  “Though your beginning was small, your future will be great.” This is not just a poetic sentiment. It is a spiritual truth rooted in the character of God. He is the God of restoration, renewal, and increase. He never wastes a beginning, no matter how humble, painful, or unnoticed it may be. And what looks s...

God Is Your Wall of Fire: Reflection on Zechariah 2:5

Image
In a world filled with uncertainty, danger, and spiritual battles, Zechariah 2:5 stands as a breathtaking promise from God to His people. In this verse, God speaks to the exiles returning to Jerusalem — a city vulnerable, broken, and exposed after destruction. But instead of offering a physical army or walls built by men,  God offers something infinitely greater: His own presence. He declares,  “I myself will be a wall of fire around it.”  Imagine that  — God Himself surrounding His people like a fiery barrier. In biblical imagery,  fire represents power, holiness, and divine protection . God isn't sending an angel or merely offering a blessing  —  He is becoming the protection Himself . And not only does He promise to be around us  —  He also promises to dwell within us :  “I will be its glory within.” This means that as God surrounds you, He also fills you. He is not distant. He is not passive. He is  your Defender on the o...
