Exodus 14:14 – A Prayer and Reflection on Letting God Fight Your Battles

  Reflection: Trusting God's Strength in the Middle of Our Struggle  Exodus 14:14 is more than just a comforting verse—it's a radical call to surrender. It speaks to a specific kind of moment: when you've done all you can, and it still isn't enough. The Israelites found themselves in such a moment, trapped between the Red Sea and the approaching Egyptian army. From their perspective, it looked like the end. But from God's perspective, it was the perfect setup for a miracle. How often do we stand in that same place? Surrounded by problems, hemmed in by fear, and tempted to believe that God has forgotten us. And yet, in that exact space of panic and pressure, God says:  “Stay calm. I will fight for you.” But staying calm is hard when fear is loud. Our instinct is to react—to fix, to flee, to force our own solutions.
