VERSE Of The Day - JOHN 16:20
"Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy." — John 16:20 Life is full of seasons—some filled with joy and celebration, while others bring pain, loss, and uncertainty. There are times when our hearts feel heavy, when prayers seem unanswered, and when sorrow feels overwhelming. But in John 16:20, Jesus gives us a powerful promise: Your sorrow will not last forever. It will be transformed into joy.
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples on the night before His crucifixion. He knew they would soon face deep grief as they watched Him suffer and die. Yet, He also knew that their sorrow would not be permanent—because three days later, He would rise again, bringing victory, hope, and everlasting joy. This verse is not just for the disciples—it is for you and me today. No matter what season of pain or hardship you are going through, God promises that it is not the end of your story. He is a God of restoration, and He will turn your sorrow into joy.
