DUTCH HARBOR, AK — March 7, 2026 — The tight-knit commercial fishing community and millions of fans of the hit Discovery series Deadliest Catch are in mourning following the tragic death of 25-year-old deckhand Todd Meadows. The young father of three reportedly fell overboard into the freezing waters of the Bering Sea on February 25, 2026, while filming was underway for the show’s upcoming season.


  •  Meadows was working aboard the Aleutian Lady when the tragedy occurred 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.

  •  The entire event, including the frantic rescue attempts, was reportedly captured by 24/7 deck cameras.

  •  Meadows' mother, Angela Meadows, has publicly requested that Discovery Channel does not broadcast the footage of her son's final moments, emphasizing "he wasn't just a fisherman; he was a human being".
