Massive Outrage: 68-Year-Old Grandmother Fired by Lowe's After Being Punched by Shoplifters

RINCON, GA — A massive public boycott and online outrage are brewing against home improvement giant Lowe’s after the company fired a 68-year-old grandmother who was violently attacked while trying to stop a robbery.

The Incident: Donna Hansbrough had been a loyal employee at the Rincon, Georgia Lowe’s for 13 years. While on shift, she witnessed three thieves attempting to steal thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. When Donna instinctively grabbed the shopping cart to stop them, one of the men viciously punched the elderly woman in the face, leaving her with a severely bruised right eye.

The Corporate Betrayal: Instead of paying for her medical bills or praising her bravery, Lowe’s management immediately terminated Donna. The corporation claimed the 68-year-old grandmother violated their strict policy, which forbids employees from intervening or trying to stop shoplifters.

Public Fury: The internet is absolutely furious. Millions of Americans are slamming the company for punishing a loyal, hardworking senior citizen while criminals walk free. Petitions are circulating online demanding that Lowe's rehire Donna with back pay and apologize, while many customers are threatening to cancel their credit cards and boycott the store forever.
