A Love Letter Form God - Proverbs 16:9

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.’ — Proverbs 16:9

My child,

I see the plans you carry deep within your heart—the ones you speak about, and even the ones you keep hidden. I see the dreams you’ve carefully built, the goals you’ve set, and the path you’ve tried to map out step by step. You think ahead, you prepare, and you do your best to create a future that feels safe and certain. This is part of how you were created—to hope, to plan, and to move forward with intention. But I want you to understand something deeper about your life.

For it is written, ‘In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.’ — Proverbs 16:9 This means that while you may design your path, I am the One who lovingly guides each step you take. Your plans are not wrong—but they are not complete without Me. You can see only a small portion of the road ahead, but I see the entire journey from beginning to end. There will be times when your plans unfold just as you hoped—and in those moments, you will feel joy and clarity. But there will also be times when things don’t go as expected. Doors may close without warning. Opportunities you prayed for may not come. The direction you thought was right may suddenly change. In those moments, it may feel confusing or even painful.

But My child, those moments are not mistakes.

When I redirect you, it is not to harm you—it is to protect you, to grow you, and to lead you into something greater than what you could have planned on your own. What you see as a setback, I often see as a setup for something better. What feels like a delay is often My timing aligning things perfectly in ways you cannot yet understand. I establish your steps with purpose. Every turn, every pause, every unexpected shift is under My care. Even when you feel lost, you are never outside of My guidance. I am working in ways you cannot see, arranging details, opening the right doors, and closing the ones that would lead you away from My best for you. Trusting Me does not mean you stop planning—it means you hold your plans with open hands. It means you invite Me into every decision and remain willing to follow where I lead, even when it looks different from what you imagined. When you surrender your plans to Me, you are not losing control—you are placing your life into the hands of One who sees perfectly, loves completely, and leads faithfully.

So do not be afraid of the unknown. Do not be discouraged when your path changes. Walk forward with faith, knowing that I am guiding you step by step. I am ordering your steps with intention. I am shaping your journey with love. And I am leading you toward a future that is far greater than anything you could plan on your own. Stay close to Me, and you will never walk the wrong path.

With everlasting love,

Your Father.”
