A Love Letter from God: What He’s Really Saying About Your Fear
A Love Letter from God: What He's Really Saying About Your Fear
Day 35 — Love Letters from God
My child,
I know you've been lying awake running through every "what if." I know the tightness in your chest when the phone rings, when the results come back, when the future goes quiet and you're left to fill in the blanks yourself. You've been carrying fear like it's your job to hold it. It was never meant to be yours to carry.
You keep asking Me to remove the uncertainty. But what I want to give you first is Myself — steady, present, unshaken by what shakes you. Fear tells you that you're alone in the dark. I'm telling you that I was already in the dark before you got there, and I haven't moved.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). That spirit of fear — the one that whispers worst-case scenarios at 2 a.m. — that was never from Me. What I give is power to stand, love that casts out dread, and a mind that isn't held hostage by anxious thoughts.
So today, I'm not asking you to feel brave. I'm asking you to let Me be brave on your behalf. Bring Me the fear exactly as it is — messy, irrational, exhausting — and let Me trade it for My peace, which doesn't depend on your circumstances making sense.
You are not fighting this alone. You never were.
With unshakable love,
Your Father
Lord, I confess I've been carrying fears that were never mine to hold. Thank You that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Help me lay down the "what ifs" and rest in what You've already promised — that You are with me. When my thoughts spiral, remind me of Your steadiness. I trust You with what I cannot control. In Jesus' name, amen.
What fear is God asking you to hand over today?
