Day 49: A Love Letter from God About Who You Really Are

Day 49: A Love Letter from God About Your Identity

1 JOHN 3:1

My child,

Before anyone else got to define you, I already had. Before the labels, before the comparisons, before you started believing what other people's opinions said about your worth — I called you Mine. That was never up for debate.

You've spent so much energy trying to become someone impressive enough to be loved. Working harder, performing better, shrinking yourself in some rooms and armoring up in others, just to feel like you finally belong somewhere. But you don't have to earn a place in My family. You already have one. Not because of what you do — because of whose you are.

I know how loud the world gets about who you should be. Chase this title. Look like that. Keep up with them. None of that is where your worth lives. Your worth was settled the moment I called you My child, and nothing you do and nothing anyone says can undo that.

So today, let go of the version of you that exists to impress. You don't need to prove anything to Me. I already know you — the real one, underneath all the performing — and I love what I made. You are not what you've failed at. You are not what they said about you. You are Mine.

I love you,
God

A Prayer for Remembering Who You Are

Father, help me stop looking for my worth in places that were never meant to hold it. Remind me that I am Your child before I am anything else — not because I earned it, but because You chose me. Let that truth settle deeper than every label the world has tried to give me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If this letter met you right where you are, tell me below: what's one label you're ready to let go of?
