Day 51: A Love Letter from God About What’s Still Healing

Day 51: A Love Letter from God About Your Healing

PSALM 34:18

My child,

I know the ache hasn't fully gone yet. You've prayed for healing and some days feel lighter, and then out of nowhere the grief shows back up like it's brand new. You wonder if something's wrong with you for still hurting after all this time.

Nothing is wrong with you. Healing was never a straight line — it was never meant to be. I don't measure your progress by how quickly the pain disappears. I'm not disappointed in how long this is taking. I am close to you in it, not waiting somewhere further down the road for you to arrive at "healed" before I'll draw near.

You don't have to pretend you're okay to be loved by Me. You don't have to perform strength you don't feel. Bring Me the pieces you're still carrying — the memory that catches you off guard, the anniversary that still stings, the wound that looks healed on the outside but aches on the inside. I see all of it, and none of it is too much for Me to hold.

What broke you is not the end of your story. I specialize in taking shattered things and making them whole again — not by erasing what happened, but by walking through it with you until you can stand in it differently. You will laugh again without the ache underneath it. You will feel light again. This season is not your permanent address.

I am near. I have always been near. And I am not finished with your healing yet.

I love you,
God

A Prayer for Healing

Father, some days I feel like I should be further along than I am. Remind me that healing isn't a race and my pain isn't a failure. Meet me in the moments grief resurfaces. Hold the pieces I'm still carrying, and make me whole again — not overnight, but in Your time. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If this letter met you right where you are, tell me below: what's one piece of your healing you're still holding onto?
