A Love Letter from God for the Start of August
A Love Letter from God for the
Start of August
My child,
A new month is here, and I already know what's on your heart as it begins. Maybe you're relieved to leave July behind — the mistakes, the disappointments, the version of yourself that didn't handle everything the way you wish you had. Or maybe you're anxious, wondering if August will just bring more of the same.
Either way, I want you to hear this: My mercies are new every morning, and that doesn't stop at the start of a new day — it carries into the start of a new month, too. Nothing that happened in the last seven months disqualifies you from what I have for you in this one. You don't have to drag July's weight into August. Leave it where it belongs — behind you.
I know it's tempting to look at how far into the year we already are and feel like you're behind on everything you hoped for by now. But I'm not working on your timeline of should-haves. I'm not disappointed in your pace. I see this month not as a deadline, but as an open door — another chance to walk closer with Me, another chance for the things I've been quietly growing in you to come further into the light.
So don't enter August bracing for it. Enter it open-handed. Bring Me your hopes for these next thirty-one days, and bring Me your fears too. Whatever this month holds, you don't have to carry it alone. I'm not just present in the big moments — I'm present in the ordinary Tuesdays, the routines, the small decisions that make up most of your days.
This is a fresh page. Let's write it together.
God
A Prayer for the Start of August
Father, thank You for new mercies and a new month. Help me release what didn't go the way I hoped in the months behind me. Give me open hands and a hopeful heart as I step into August. Walk closely with me in the ordinary days, not just the big ones. In Jesus' name, Amen.
