Day 54: A Love Letter from 

God About Your Anxious 

Future

MATTHEW 6:34

My child,

You've been living three steps ahead of today, haven't you. Playing out scenarios that haven't happened, bracing for outcomes you can't control, trying to prepare for every possible version of tomorrow instead of just living in the one day you actually have.

I know why you do it. It feels like if you can just think hard enough, plan far enough ahead, you can protect yourself from being caught off guard. But that kind of thinking isn't protecting you — it's exhausting you. You're carrying tomorrow's weight today, and I never asked you to.

I have already gone ahead of you into every version of your future. Nothing that's coming will surprise Me. I'm not scrambling to figure out what to do when you get there — I'm already there, preparing the way, working things out you can't see yet. You don't have to hold the whole timeline in your hands. You just have to hold today.

Today has enough of its own. Let tomorrow be Mine to carry. When the anxious thoughts about what's ahead start pulling you out of the present moment, bring them to Me instead of trying to outthink them. I'm not asking you to have peace about a future you can't see — I'm asking you to trust the One who can.

You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to take the next step, and trust Me with the ones after that.

A Prayer for an Anxious Future

Father, my mind keeps racing ahead to what hasn't happened yet. Help me release tomorrow into Your hands and stay present in today. Remind me that You have already gone ahead of me into whatever is coming. Give me peace for this moment instead of worry for every moment after it. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  If God Is for Us: Standing Strong in Unshakable Confidence “What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us? ” —  Romans 8:31 (NKJV)  There are few verses in the Bible as bold and reassuring as this one.   But He said to me,  ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” —  2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)  This verse is one of the most comforting promises in all of Scripture. It reminds us that even when we reach the end of our own strength, we are never beyond the reach of God’s grace. The Apostle Paul wrote these words after pleading with God to remove what he called a “thorn in the flesh” — a constant struggle, pain, or limitation that troubled him deeply.
