Day 64: A Love Letter from God About Your Rejection

PSALM 27:10

My child,

You've been replaying it — the door that closed, the person who walked away, the room you weren't invited into. Rejection has a way of settling deep, making you question not just what happened, but who you are underneath it.

I want you to hear this clearly: their rejection is not My assessment of you. People walk away for all kinds of reasons — their own fear, their own brokenness, their own limitations that have nothing to do with your worth. You were never too much or not enough. You were simply not who they were capable of receiving in that moment, and that says everything about their capacity, not your value.

Even if your father and mother forsake you, I will take you in. That's not a metaphor for Me — it's a promise. I don't reject people based on their flaws, their past, their personality, their pace. I am the One who stays when everyone else's love runs out. I don't have limited capacity for you. My love was never rationed, never conditional, never something you had to qualify for.

I know rejection makes you want to shrink, to protect yourself by becoming smaller or less visible or less needing of anyone. But you don't have to armor up with Me. You don't have to earn your place at My table. It was set for you before you ever worried about being wanted.

You are chosen. Not chosen because you were the easiest option — chosen on purpose, deliberately, by the One whose acceptance actually matters most.

A Prayer for Rejection

Father, this rejection has made me question my worth. Remind me that their walking away is not Your assessment of me. Heal the part of me that wants to shrink or hide. Help me trust that I am fully accepted and fully chosen by You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
