Day 65: A Love Letter from God While You’re Waiting on Your Prayer
A Love Letter from God While
You're Waiting on Your Prayer
My child,
You've been praying the same prayer for a while now, haven't you. Saying the same words at night, bringing the same request back to Me morning after morning, and wondering if I've actually heard it — or if it just disappeared into silence somewhere between your lips and the ceiling.
I want you to know: silence is not the same as absence. I have never once missed a prayer you brought to Me. Every tear, every whispered "please," every prayer you were too tired to even finish out loud — I caught every single one of them. Nothing you've said to Me has ever gone unheard, even the prayers you didn't have words for, the ones that were just a sigh or an ache you couldn't name.
But hearing and answering on your timeline are not the same thing. I see what you can't see yet — the timing that isn't ready, the people not yet in place, the version of the answer that would actually hurt you if I gave it too soon. I'm not withholding because I don't care. I'm working because I do. There is a difference between a door that's closed forever and a door that simply hasn't opened yet, and I know which one yours is, even when you can't tell from where you're standing.
Some answers are still being written. Some are already in motion, closer than you know, just not visible yet — like a seed still under the soil, doing everything it needs to do before it ever breaks the surface. And some prayers I'm answering by changing something in you first, so that when the answer comes, you're ready to receive it well, rather than being handed something you weren't yet equipped to carry.
I know waiting has made you tired. It's made you wonder if you're praying wrong, or if you don't have enough faith, or if you somehow missed your window. None of that is true. Waiting is not a punishment and it's not a sign of your failure. It is simply part of the story — the part that happens before the part you're hoping for, not instead of it.
Don't stop bringing Me your requests just because the answer hasn't come yet. Don't let the silence convince you I've stopped listening. Waiting on Me is not wasted time — it's still part of the story I'm writing with you, even in the chapters that feel slow. I am not slow. I am not silent. I am working, even now, even in this, even in the parts you can't see from where you're standing today.
Keep praying. Keep hoping. I haven't forgotten a single word you've brought to Me.
God
A Prayer for When the Answer Hasn't Come
Father, it's hard to keep praying when it feels like nothing is changing. Help me trust that You hear me, even in the waiting. Give me patience for Your timing and faith to keep bringing my requests to You. Remind me that silence is not the same as no, and that You are working even in what I cannot see. In Jesus' name, Amen.
