Day 82: A Love Letter from God About Discouragement

GALATIANS 6:9

My child,

You've been carrying discouragement quietly, wondering if any of this is actually working — the effort, the faithfulness, the showing up day after day for something that doesn't seem to be changing. You're tired in the specific way that comes from trying hard and not seeing the results you hoped for. Part of you wants to just stop trying.

I see every ounce of effort you've put in that no one else has noticed. I see the faithfulness you've kept up even when it felt pointless, the good you've kept doing even when it seemed like it wasn't making a difference. None of it has gone unseen by Me, and none of it has been wasted, even if the fruit hasn't shown up yet.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. I know "at the proper time" feels like a frustratingly vague promise when you want to see change now. But I am not asking you to have faith in a vague someday — I am asking you to trust Me, the One who knows exactly when the proper time is, even when it isn't visible to you yet.

GALATIANS 6:9

God says, "Do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. Your effort has not been wasted."

You have not come this far to be abandoned now. The discouragement you're feeling is real, but it is not the truth about how this ends. Keep going, even tired, even unsure, even without seeing the harvest yet. I am not finished, and neither are you. Don't give up in this exact season — the one right before the proper time.

I love you,
God

A Prayer for Discouragement

Father, I'm tired and discouraged, and part of me wants to stop trying. Remind me that my effort hasn't been wasted, even when I can't see the harvest yet. Give me strength to keep going, trusting Your timing instead of my own. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What's one area where you're tempted to give up that you're choosing to keep showing up for today?
