Day 91: A Love Letter from God About When Faith Becomes Weak

Day 91: A Love Letter from God About When Faith Becomes Weak

MARK 9:24

My child,

Your faith doesn't feel steady right now. You used to believe easily, pray boldly, trust Me without a second thought — but lately it feels thin, like you're holding onto something with fingers that keep slipping. You wonder if this weakness means your faith isn't real, if somehow you've failed at the one thing you were supposed to hold onto no matter what.

I want you to hear Me clearly: weak faith is still faith. It is not disqualified by its size or its trembling. A father once brought his son to Me and said, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief." He didn't have perfect, unwavering trust. He had faith mixed with doubt, belief mixed with desperation — and I met him exactly there. I didn't ask him to fix his faith before I would help him. I met him in the honest, imperfect middle of it.

You don't need a mountain-sized faith for Me to hold you. Even faith as small as a mustard seed is enough, because the power was never in the size of your belief — it's in Me, the One your belief is aimed at. Weak faith pointed toward Me is worth more than strong faith pointed at anything else.

MARK 9:24

The father cried out, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" And God says to you, "That honest cry is enough. I meet you in the middle of your doubt."

You don't have to pretend your faith is stronger than it is right now. Bring Me the trembling, uncertain version of your belief, mixed with all your doubts and questions. I am not waiting for you to arrive at perfect trust before I show up. I am already here, holding what little faith you have, and I am not letting go of you, even when your grip feels weak.

I love you,
God

A Prayer for Weak Faith

Father, I believe, but help me with my unbelief. My faith feels thin right now, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. Thank You that weak faith is still faith, and that You meet me exactly where I am. Hold onto me even when my grip feels loose. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What's one honest thing you want to say to God about where your faith is right now?
