Day 111: A Love Letter from God About Making a Hard Decision

Day 111: A Love Letter from God About

 Making a Hard Decision

JAMES 1:5

My child,

You've been standing at a crossroads for longer than you'd like to admit. You've made the pros and cons list, talked it over with everyone you trust, replayed every possible outcome in your head, and you're still no closer to knowing what to do. The fear of choosing wrong has kept you frozen, as if one wrong move might ruin everything.I want you to hear this: you don't have to decide alone, and you don't have to decide perfectly. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Notice that I give wisdom generously, without finding fault. I'm not annoyed that you don't know what to do. I'm not waiting for you to figure it out first. I'm inviting you to ask, and I promise I will answer.Sometimes wisdom arrives as a sudden clarity. Sometimes it comes as a quiet peace about one option over another. Sometimes it unfolds slowly, through counsel, through circumstances, through the next small step becoming clear after you take the one in front of you. I speak in many ways, and I am not limited to one. Keep asking, keep listening, and keep moving forward as light is given.

JAMES 1:5

God says, "If you lack wisdom, ask Me. I give generously to all, without finding fault. You don't have to figure this out alone."

And here is something that may lift a weight off your shoulders: even if you choose imperfectly, I am not limited by your imperfect choice. I can work through a wrong turn just as faithfully as a right one. You are not carrying the entire outcome of your life on this one decision. I am the One carrying you, and I am able to redeem whatever path you walk with an honest, prayerful heart I love you,God

A Prayer for Making a Hard Decision

Father, I'm afraid of choosing wrong, and I don't know what to do. I ask You for wisdom, trusting that You give generously without finding fault. Give me clarity or peace about the next step. Remind me that I'm not carrying this alone, and that You can redeem even a path I walk imperfectly. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What's a decision you've been carrying that you're ready to bring to God for wisdom today?
