Day 112: A Love Letter from God About a Struggle That Doesn’t Define You
Day 112: A Love Letter from God About
When You're Tempted and Tired of
Fighting
My child,You're tired of this fight. The same temptation keeps showing up, and you keep wrestling with it, sometimes winning, sometimes not, and every time it returns you feel a little more worn down. Maybe you're embarrassed that it's still a struggle at all. Maybe you've started to wonder if you're just too weak, too far gone, too stuck in this pattern for it ever to change.I want you to hear this: being tempted is not the same as failing. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Every person who has ever followed Me has faced temptation, including My own Son. The struggle itself is not proof that something is wrong with you.Notice the promise inside that verse: I always provide a way out. Not sometimes. Always. Even in the moments when you can't see it, when the pull feels overwhelming, when giving in feels like the only option, there is a door. It might be calling a friend, stepping outside, whispering My name, or simply walking away from the room. I am faithful to make the way out real, and I will help you take it.
God says, "I am faithful. I will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. When you are tempted, I will also provide a way out."
And on the days you fall, hear Me clearly: I am not ashamed of you, and I am not finished with you. My mercies are new every morning, even after a hard night. Don't let shame convince you to hide from Me. Come back to Me quickly, honestly, again and again. You are not too far gone. You are not fighting alone. And I will keep walking with you through every part of this.

A Prayer for When You're Tempted
Father, I'm tired of this struggle, and some days I feel like I'm losing. Thank You that being tempted isn't the same as failing. Help me see the way out You've promised and give me strength to take it. When I fall, remind me to come back to You quickly instead of hiding in shame. I need You in this. In Jesus' name, Amen.
