Day 114: A Love Letter from God for the One Who Takes Care of Everyone

Day 114: A Love Letter from God for the One Who Takes Care of Everyone

ISAIAH 41:10

My child,

You are the one everyone leans on. You remember the appointments, the medications, the lunches, the birthdays, the hard conversations. You hold the family together, or the household, or the person who can't hold themselves up right now. You show up again and again, and most days nobody asks the question that matters most: who takes care of you?

I see how tired you are. I see the nights you stayed up long after everyone else went to sleep. I see the times you swallowed your own needs so someone else's could be met, and the way you smiled when you wanted to cry. I want you to know that your love is not invisible to Me. Every small act of care, especially the ones no one thanked you for, is seen and remembered.

But I also want to say something gently: you were never meant to pour out without being poured into. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. I am not asking you to run on empty for the people you love. I am promising to be your strength, so that you have something real to give.

ISAIAH 41:10

God says, "Do not fear, for I am with you. I will strengthen you and help you. You carry so many people. Let Me carry you."

It is not selfish to rest. It is not weak to ask for help. It is not unloving to say, "I need a break." Even I rested, and I made rest holy. Let someone share the weight, even if it's just one small piece. Take ten quiet minutes with Me, even in the middle of a full day. I will meet you there, and I will refill what has been poured out.

You are loved, not only for what you do, but simply for who you are. Today, let Me take care of the one who takes care of everyone else.

I love you,
God

A Prayer for the Caregiver

Father, I give so much to the people I love, and some days I have nothing left. Strengthen me with Your strength, not my own. Help me ask for help without guilt and rest without shame. Remind me that my care is seen by You, and that I am loved even when I'm not doing anything for anyone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Who in your life is giving more than they receive? Share this letter with them today, or tell us one way you plan to rest this week.
