A Love Letter From God
A Devotional for Every Weary, Wondering Heart
A Love Letter from God Written Just for You
You may have forgotten how deeply you are loved. He never forgot you.
There are days when life feels too heavy — when doubt creeps in, when silence feels like abandonment, when you wonder if God sees you at all. You are not alone in that feeling. Every person of faith has stood in that hollow place and whispered, "Are You still there?"
The answer is always the same: Yes. He is there. He has always been there. The letter below is not written by human hands alone. It is drawn from His Word — the living, breathing truth of Scripture — and it is meant to find you exactly where you are today.
My Beloved Child,
Before the foundations of the world were laid, before the stars learned their names, before the oceans found their shores — I knew you. I called you by name. I set you apart. You were not an accident, not a mistake, not an afterthought. You were a purpose.
I have watched you carry burdens that were never meant for your shoulders alone. I have seen you weep in the midnight hours when no one else could hear. I have counted every tear. I have felt every ache. And still — listen to Me now — I have not moved. I have not looked away. I have not stopped loving you.
You may have wandered. You may have doubted. You may have done things you cannot forgive yourself for. But My grace is not a trickle — it is a flood. My mercies are new every morning. That is not a beautiful phrase; it is a covenant. Every single sunrise I am renewing My commitment to you.
Do you remember the shepherd who left the ninety-nine to find the one? That one was you. It will always be you. You are worth leaving everything for. You are worth the cross. You are worth the resurrection. I did not come for the perfect — I came for the broken, the lost, the ones the world had given up on.
The storms you are facing right now — they do not define you. They are not the end of your story. I am the Author, and I promise you: the last chapter has not been written yet. I have plans for you, not to harm you, but to give you a hope and a future that will make your heart overflow.
Come to Me. Lay it all down. Your fears, your failures, your unanswered prayers. Let Me carry what is too heavy for you. My yoke is easy. My burden is light. And in Me, your weary soul will find the rest it has been searching for all along.
You are My masterpiece. You are the apple of My eye. You are the child I gave everything to save. And I would do it all again — for you.
Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For I am with you wherever you go.
Your Father in Heaven
His Word — Your Foundation
Every promise in this letter is rooted in Scripture. Hold onto these.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
When life feels uncertain, this verse is your anchor. God is not making things up as He goes — He has a blueprint for your life, and it is filled with hope.
"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing."
God does not just tolerate you. He rejoices over you. Right now, in this moment, you are the reason He sings.
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you."
You belong to God — not because you earned it, but because He chose you. No storm, no flood, no fire changes that belonging.
"Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God."
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Let that settle into the deepest part of your heart today.
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
This is an open invitation, not a conditional one. You don't need to clean yourself up first. You come as you are.
A Moment to Reflect
This letter is not just meant to be read — it is meant to be received. So many of us move through our days performing faith without truly experiencing it. We know God is love in our minds, but we haven't let that truth travel the eighteen inches down to our hearts.
Take a slow breath. Put down whatever you are carrying for just a moment. And ask yourself honestly: Do I truly believe I am loved by God — not because of what I do, but because of Who He is?
That belief changes everything. It changes how you face the morning. It changes how you handle rejection. It changes how you speak to yourself when you fail. You are not a problem to be solved. You are a child to be loved.
📖 Today's Reflection Questions:
1. Where in my life am I struggling to believe that God loves me unconditionally?
2. What burden have I been carrying alone that I need to lay at His feet today?
3. If I truly believed God rejoices over me — how would I live differently tomorrow?
Pray This With Us Today
You don't need perfect words — just an open heart.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this reminder that I am not forgotten. There are days when I feel so far from You — but today, I choose to receive what Your Word says about me. I am loved. I am chosen. I am Yours.
Forgive me for the times I have tried to earn Your love, or believed the lie that I was too broken for Your grace. I lay down my fears, my doubts, and my heavy burdens at Your feet right now. Take what I cannot carry.
Let the truth of Your love go deep — past my mind and into my heart. May I walk through this day knowing that the God of the universe is walking with me. May I hear Your voice above every other voice that tries to tell me I am not enough.
I am enough because You say I am. I am loved because You are love. I am not alone because You will never leave me.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
